You’ve decided it’s time to launch or level up your group coaching programme, but before you can onboard a single client, you’re stuck at the first hurdle…
What platform do I build this on?
You’re scrolling through options, comparing price points, features, “community-building tools” you’re not even sure you need yet… and somehow you’re still no closer to making a decision.
You don’t need another vague list of “top tools”.
You need to know:
👉 What works — without a two-week learning curve
👉 What scales — so you’re not rebuilding everything in six months
👉 What won’t collapse the moment you bring in 10+ clients
👉 What gives your clients a seamless, professional experience
👉 What integrates with your existing systems (or replaces them completely)
In this post, I’m breaking down the 10 best group coaching platforms for 2025, based on what I’ve seen actually work behind the scenes — helping coaches build, launch, and streamline their group programmes across dozens of platforms, delivery styles, and coaching models.
Online Group Platform Comparison Snapshot
There’s A LOT of info in this blog, so here’s a quick side-by-side look at what each platform costs and what kind of coaching setup it’s best suited for:

Now let’s break each one down further…
Top 10 Best Online Group Coaching Platforms
Let’s break down the best options based on real-world delivery, not just shiny features. Each of these platforms supports recurring revenue and group delivery, but the experience feels very different depending on how you coach, how tech-savvy you are, and how much control you want over the backend.
1. Kajabi – Best all-in-one for course + coaching + marketing

Pricing:
Starts at $149/month (USD)
Plans go up based on number of products, contacts, and advanced features.
Best suited for:
Coaches who want to simplify their tech, unify their systems, and deliver a polished client experience (and are ready to invest in their backend) Kajabi is a strong long-term choice. In my opinion, Kajabi is one of the most robust platforms available for coaches who are scaling strategically. But if you’re still testing your offer or dread backend setup? There are easier ways to start.
Key features:
- Full website builder with blogging and SEO options
- Email marketing (broadcasts, sequences, automations)
- Course and programme hosting
- Payment processing + upsells
- Community areas (with limited customisation)
App for client access
Kajabi is great if you want:
- One login for everything (content, email, payments, landing pages, funnels, community)
- To build out an entire client journey: from freebie to nurture to paid programme to upsell
- Clean automations without having to learn 12 different tools
- To future-proof your tech stack. Kajabi can grow with you as you add more products, tiers, and delivery styles
It’s especially useful for coaches moving from a piecemeal setup (like Teachable + Mailchimp + Google Docs) who are ready for something more professional, polished, and centralised.
Kajabi is not so good if you want:
- A super lightweight or low-cost platform to test a single offer — the $149/month price is overkill unless you’re actively selling or scaling
- A true community-first experience — the built-in community features are limited (more like a comments section than a thriving space)
- Quick setup or minimal input — Kajabi is powerful, but it takes time to set up properly and really works best when you already have a strategy in place (or you can just hire someone like me to do the Kajabi setup for you)
2. ThriveCart Learn+ – Great for funnel-first coaches
Pricing:
- ThriveCart (lifetime licence): ~$495 USD one-time
- Learn+ add-on: ~$195 USD one-time
- No monthly fees (that’s a rare thing in this space).
Best suited for:
Coaches who want full ownership over their funnel, pricing, and product delivery, without being locked into monthly subscriptions. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re strategic about sales and don’t mind stitching a few things together, it’s one of the most cost-effective, conversion-friendly setups out there.
Also great for anyone tired of paying Kajabi-style subscriptions for features they don’t use.
Key features:
- High-converting checkout pages with upsells, downsells, and order bumps
- Flexible pricing: one-time, subscriptions, payment plans
- Learn+ course hosting: drip content, video, downloads
- Affiliate management built in
- Dashboard with lifetime analytics
- Client portal for all purchases
ThriveCart + Learn+ is great if you want:
- To build smart, flexible sales funnels that convert — whether you’re selling a low-ticket workshop or a high-touch group programme
- A way to host and deliver your content without paying for an all-in-one platform you’re barely using
- The freedom to grow your offer suite (think: courses, digital products, paid workshops, VIP days) without paying extra for every new product
- Clean client access — everything someone buys from you lives in one tidy dashboard
It’s particularly strong if you’re launching multiple times per year, offering layered bonuses, or using scarcity-based promos (like countdown timers or expiring offers).
ThriveCart + Learn+ is not so good if you want:
- A truly all-in-one experience — there’s no built-in email, no native community, and no branded mobile app. You’ll need to connect other tools (e.g. ConvertKit, Circle, Slack)
- A visual, highly polished learning environment — Learn+ is clean but basic. You can’t heavily customise the design or client-facing layout
- A low-tech, beginner-friendly setup — there’s no hand-holding or template-heavy wizard. You need to be confident building a tech stack or working with someone who can
3. Circle – Ideal for community-led memberships
Pricing:
- Starts at $49/month (USD)
- Pro plan: $99/month (adds live streaming, analytics, custom domains)
- Business plan: $219/month+ for advanced features + white labelling
Key features:
- Customisable community spaces (like Slack, but prettier and more structured)
- Events calendar, live video + screen sharing
- Member directories, group DMs, reactions + threads
- Course and resource hosting (modules, lessons, embeds)
- Native payment + subscription setup
- App access for members (web + mobile)
Best suited for:
Coaches building community-first group containers, memberships, masterminds, or cohort-based programmes where peer support, shared experience, and interaction are part of the value.
Perfect for programmes where the container matters just as much as the content.
Circle is great if you want:
- To create an engaging, non-social-media space for your coaching clients
- A flexible structure for things like “office hours,” topic channels, or themed accountability threads
- A central hub where members actually interact, post updates, ask questions, and get seen
- A smooth, branded community experience that feels modern and easy to use — without the chaos of Facebook groups
It works beautifully for group programmes where interaction is the transformation — especially in industries like mindset, business strategy, wellness, and leadership coaching.
Circle is not so good if you want:
- An all-in-one setup — there’s no native email marketing, no built-in checkout page, and content delivery is more community resource library than formal course builder
- A passive delivery model — if your programme doesn’t need interaction between members, Circle might be more than you need
- Ultra-structured curriculum delivery — the course feature exists but isn’t as robust as Kajabi, Teachable, or ThriveCart Learn+
4. Skool – Clean UX with built-in accountability tools

Pricing:
- Flat rate: $99/month (USD)
- No tiers or upsells — every feature is included
Key features:
- Clean, minimalist interface with built-in community + course area
- Progress tracking and gamified points system
- Calendar for live events + automatic time zone conversions
- Mobile app for easy access + engagement
- Native payment system for one-time or recurring offers
- Community posts with reactions, comments, and visibility boosts
Best suited for:
Coaches running cohort-based programmes, bootcamps, or structured memberships where accountability, momentum, and clarity are key.
Skool is perfect for those who want a platform that does exactly what it promises without bells, whistles, or over-complication.
Skool is great if you want:
- A streamlined platform where clients know exactly where to go and what to do
- Built-in motivation tools — progress bars, points, gamification, and leaderboards to drive engagement
- Community and curriculum in one clean dashboard
- Fast setup — no tech overwhelm, no design decisions, no plugin mess
Great if your programme has a clear start/end point, weekly goals, and active member participation e.g. business accelerators, fitness groups, marketing sprints, or implementation-based containers.
Skool is not so good if you want:
- Heavy branding or visual customisation — what you see is what you get, and everyone’s Skool space looks more or less the same
- A robust course delivery system — it’s ideal for short modules and lightweight lessons, but not built for in-depth, multi-layered curriculum
- Complex sales funnels or integrations — Skool keeps it intentionally simple, which is great for delivery but limiting if you want to connect deeper into your funnel or CRM
5. Podia – Simple, budget-friendly for new coaches

Pricing:
- Free plan available (limited features)
- Paid plans start at $33/month (USD)
- No transaction fees on paid plans
Key features:
- Drag-and-drop website builder
- Course + digital product hosting
- Email marketing (broadcasts + automated sequences)
- Webinars and live events
- Community feature with posts + topics
- Payment processing with flexible pricing (one-time, subscriptions, bundles)
Best for:
Newer coaches who want to get their first group offer or digital product out into the world, without battling tech overwhelm.
Podia is also great for anyone wanting to launch fast, learn what works, and grow into more advanced tools later.
It’s simple, intuitive, and gets the job done, but if you’re already running a high-converting funnel or a scale-ready programme, you’ll probably outgrow it pretty quickly.
Podia is great if you want:
- An easy, budget-friendly way to launch your first course or group coaching programme
- A clean, all-in-one platform for light content, email, and payments
- To skip setup headaches and start selling quickly
- To validate your offer before investing in a high-end platform like Kajabi
It’s especially useful for solo coaches who aren’t planning to build complex funnels or big-scale group programmes (yet) but still want something that feels polished and professional.
Podia is not so good if you want:
- Advanced automations or CRM-style segmentation — the email features are solid, but basic
- A deep community experience — it has a community feature, but it’s more like a bonus than a standout
- Robust course structuring or backend reporting — you’ll hit limitations quickly if your offer is layered or evolving fast.
6. Teachable – Course-first, now expanding into coaching

Pricing:
- Free plan available (with transaction fees)
- Paid plans start at $59/month (USD)
- Higher tiers unlock advanced features + no transaction fees
Key features:
- Course builder with video, quizzes, and drip scheduling
- Coaching product type for 1:1 or group coaching sessions
- Sales pages, checkout, and payment processing
- Built-in analytics + progress tracking
- Native email (limited), or connect to ConvertKit/ActiveCampaign
- Integrates with Zapier, Calendly, and other tools
Best for:
Coaches who are leading with content delivery (e.g. frameworks, training, and structured lessons) and want a simple, proven system to sell and deliver that content.
Ideal for course-first coaches who are layering in coaching support through Q&As, group calls, or feedback sessions. But if community, accountability, or deep coaching interaction is a big part of your offer, you’ll need to build those layers separately.
Teachable is great if you want:
- A clean, structured way to deliver modules, lessons, or programmes with a start-to-finish path
- A no-fuss coaching setup — the built-in coaching feature lets you schedule sessions, set goals, and manage client milestones
- To sell self-paced + high-touch offers from one platform
- To launch quickly without needing to custom-build a full funnel or site
Teachable is great for coaches who teach in a structured, curriculum-led way especially mindset, business, or education-style coaching offers.
Teachable is not so good if you want:
- A strong community component — there’s no real community space unless you bolt on something like Circle or Slack
- Deep coaching workflows — it’s good for light touchpoints, but you’ll outgrow it fast if you’re delivering hands-on, personalised support
- Advanced automations — email is very limited, so you’ll likely need to connect other tools to fill the gaps
7. Thinkific – Structured courses with flexible group coaching tools

Pricing:
- Free plan available (limited features)
- Paid plans start at $49/month (USD)
- Higher tiers add communities, live lessons, and advanced analytics
Key features:
- Drag-and-drop course builder with quizzes, video, assignments, and drip content
- Built-in Thinkific Communities (discussion boards, spaces, notifications)
- Live lessons via Zoom integration
- Branded website + custom domain options
- Flexible pricing (free, one-time, subscriptions, bundles)
- Student progress tracking + completion data
- App Store with extensions for analytics, gamification, certificates, and more
Best for:
Coaches with structured programmes that mix curriculum + live support, especially if your delivery is more teaching-focused and you want to create a step-by-step learning journey alongside group calls or community access.
It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable, customisable, and great for content-led programmes with a clear roadmap.
Thinkific is great if you want:
- A solid course platform with more flexibility than Teachable
- To deliver a hybrid group programme with live lessons, assignments, and progress tracking
- A native (albeit basic) community space where members can connect
- Modular control — it’s great for breaking big concepts into bite-sized steps
- A branded learning experience without needing to touch a single line of code
It’s especially good for coaches who teach frameworks, processes, or systems, think business coaches, educators, skills-based coaching (like sales, branding, content).
Thinkific is not so good if you want:
- A dynamic, real-time community — the community feature works, but it’s more forum-style than social, and not as engaging as Circle or Skool
- Advanced funnel features — there’s no built-in email marketing, so you’ll need to integrate with ConvertKit, ActiveCampaign, or similar
- Lightweight delivery — if your programme is more conversation-led or unstructured, this may feel too rigid
8. MemberVault – Great for hybrid models

Pricing:
- Free plan for up to 100 users
- Paid plans start at $39/month (USD)
- Pricing scales with number of users + features
Key features:
- Unlimited offers (freebies, paid programmes, evergreen content, challenges)
- Gamified engagement tools (progress tracking, bonus unlocks, “hot leads” system)
- Flexible content hosting — courses, group programmes, mini products
- Email opt-in forms + list segmentation
- Basic community features (comments, limited messaging)
- Customisable branding + layout options
Best for:
Coaches with multiple types of offers, from freebies and low-ticket downloads to group coaching and evergreen programmes, who want a central client hub without committing to a high-priced all-in-one.
MemberVault is great if you want:
- A flexible, low-cost home for all your offers (free, paid, live, evergreen, drip)
- To create a branded client hub where people can access everything they’ve bought
- Light gamification — e.g. bonus unlocks for progress, “hot lead” tagging based on client engagement
- To launch fast without building an entire funnel first
MemberVault is especially handy if you run a mix of offer types and want a lean, single platform to manage them all — think coaching memberships + digital products + 1:1 sessions.
MemberVault is not so good if you want:
- Built-in community tools or real-time interaction — there are no discussion threads, live events, or native group spaces
- A high-end visual experience — the UI is functional but not as sleek as Kajabi or Circle
- Full automation or funnel tools — it handles opt-ins and tagging, but not complex sequences or CRM logic
9. CoachAccountable – Designed specifically for coaching workflows
Pricing:
- Starts at $20/month (USD) for up to 2 clients
- Scales with number of active clients — custom pricing for larger practices or teams
Key features:
- Client dashboards with goal tracking, metrics, and session notes
- Appointment scheduling with calendar sync
- Worksheets, journaling, and reflection tools
- File uploads, private messaging, and reminders
- Group coaching support (limited but available)
- White-labelling and team coach support on higher plans
Best for:
Coaches delivering structured 1:1 or small-group support — especially those who want to track progress, set goals, and manage the relationship with their clients in a more formal way.
CoachAccountable is ideal for health, executive, career, life, or leadership coaches where accountability, metrics, and session follow-through are essential.
CoachAccountable is great if you want:
- A professional coaching backend — client dashboards, automated reminders, and space for notes, goals, and homework
- To bring structure to your sessions — especially if you work with recurring goals, milestones, or custom metrics
- A central place to store session notes, uploads, and coaching resources
- To deliver a more polished, results-driven experience without needing a course or community platform
It’s built specifically for coaching workflows, so everything is focused on the coach–client relationship, not sales funnels or content delivery.
CoachAccountable is not so good if you want:
- A platform for selling or marketing — there are no checkout pages, no funnels, no landing pages
- Course delivery or curriculum-based programmes — this is not built for module-based teaching
- A community-driven model — it’s designed for direct, private coaching (though it can support small groups)
10. Mighty Networks – Best for branded social community + content

Pricing:
- Starts at $49/month (USD) for Community Plan
- $119/month for Business Plan (adds courses + analytics)
- Mighty Pro available (custom pricing for white-labeled apps)
Key features:
- Full-featured community platform with posts, topics, events, DMs
- Native course hosting (multiple spaces, drip lessons, videos, downloads)
- Live streaming, events calendar + Zoom integrations
- Branded mobile app (included on Pro plan or higher)
- Payment processing for memberships, courses, bundles
- Rich member profiles, notifications, and engagement analytics
Best for:
Coaches building community-led memberships or multi-offer ecosystems, especially where the coaching is ongoing and the container extends beyond a single cohort or programme.
Mighty Networks is great if you want:
- A true branded coaching community that lives off social media
- To deliver both content and connection in one central place
- A scalable space for live sessions, self-paced content, and peer engagement
- To run long-term memberships, learning networks, or large coaching containers with room to grow
Mighty Networks is ideal for coaches with audience-first businesses, especially those in lifestyle, mindset, wellness, leadership, or personal development niches where the community is the product as much as the curriculum.
Mighty Networks is not so good if you want:
- A lightweight setup for a single programme — it’s powerful, but not always intuitive for one-off offers
- Deep customisation or design control — branding is solid, but layout and structure are fixed
- Funnel or email marketing features — you’ll still need a separate system for your sales + nurture journeys
Which Online Group Coaching Platform Is Right for You?
There’s no one “best” platform, but there is one that suits how you work, how you deliver, and what you’re building next.
The right choice depends on how much structure you need, how interactive your offer is, and how comfortable you are with tech. Some platforms prioritise community, others give you sales control, and a few aim to do it all.
Start with what feels sustainable now. Focus on how you want to deliver your client experience, then pick the tool that makes that easier, not harder.
Not Sure Which Platform Fits Your Offer?
I’ve worked behind the scenes on countless coaching programmes, from scrappy first launches to multi-layered memberships with hundreds of clients. And here’s what I know for sure:
The platform you choose shapes how confidently you show up, how smoothly your offer runs, and how supported your clients feel.
If you’re second-guessing what to use, piecing things together with too many tools, or putting off your launch because the tech just feels heavy, let’s change that.
Book a Funnel Tech Audit, and I’ll help you make clear, strategic decisions about your backend setup based on your offer, your workflow, and where you want to go next.
